Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
I broughjt my boat in for a minor repair 2 1/2 months ago. the business owner has kept it locked in a yard. he has delayed working on it and won't alow me to take it back. i will certainly pay for any work completed, but I am unable to get him to release the boat. Is this boat repai shop violating any laws? what can I do to force him to release the boat back to me?

Send him a written demand letter for the return of the boat and reference MGL c 93A as a deceptive business practice for retaining the boat without making the repair and refusing to give it back so you can take it to someone else to repair.
