I am paid salary and in my field, I've been called into work all hours of the night and weekends. When I asked for some timne off near the holidays I was told I had no time left. The question I have is can they add up sick time as time off?

Re: Earned Time Off
Unfortunately, your employer can calculate earned time in any manner of its choosing. Their policy, in my opinion, is bolstered by them having an employee handbook which specifies how earned time is accrued. You cannot say you were not aware of that policy when you hired on for the job.
