Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts

Fraud with Home Depot

I signed a contract with Home Depot to refinish my cabinets because I was told repeatedly it was much cheaper than to put up new ones but they lied, thier price was double of new cabinets. I called them to cancel my order but i'M afraid the 4,000 they took from me they won't give back. It was false representation, I repeatedly asked the sales rep. that came to my house if it was cheaper than new cabinets & he assured me it was. It is actually double the cost of what I could have bought. I don't have the cabinets yet so what do I say to them to give me back my money. I consider it fraud, misrepresentation, lying. I am 63 years old and they took advantage of that. I want out of the contract and my money back. Please help me. They want 11,000 for at 4,600 job and that with my old cabinets and not even new ones. I asked the Mr. Wood (sales rep) repeated, over and over if I could get new cabinets but he kept saying it was half the price to reface the cabinets. I have had 2 contractors support what I have just told you about the real cost of new cabinets. I signed a contract under false representation. Please help me.

Re: Fraud with Home Depot

Call the store manager and express your view that you were defrauded, and either have them cancel the contract, or contact an attorney.
