Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
imposed direct deposit by company
just wondering if a company can force an employee to subscribe to its direct deposit plan if the employee dose not wish to? until now it has always been an option. now we are at 2 different sites so to save time and money the company is trying to force all employees to use it. is this legal or does it volate and laws or rights? shouldnt an employee have a right to decide how their checks should be received?

Re: imposed direct deposit by company
You have no legal right to payment in a particular form or method of delivery. Thus, if your employer chooses to make direct deposit a condition of employment, you are pretty well stuck with it.
