Online gambling in a commercial establishment

Is it legal for a commercial establishment to have PC's setup in the public location allowing the patrons to access and promote a third party internet gambling site?

Re: Online gambling in a commercial establishment

I created a lawfinder probably 50 pages long on on the subject of

of gambling law in Massachusetts and I can't give you a quick and

straightforward answer on that without asking a few more questions.

I take it you are the owner or manager of such a commercial establishment

(what, a bar? a restaurant? a bookstore?) and are considering doing this.

Please let me know via e-mail (or call me at my office number if you like).

Re: Online gambling in a commercial establishment

This sounds like a bad idea. First, gambling is currently illegal in Mass., except in certain specified locations (e.g., racing tracks, parimutuals). Second, the federal government seems likely to make internet gaming illegal, so even if Mass. changes its law (as now seems likely), the project would soon violate federal law.
