Overpayment For Work Done
I recently resigned from my job and my incompetent former employers forgot to take me off of the payroll. I received a check for two weeks pay and cashed it. They have contacted me recently asking that I mail them a check for the overpayment. I gave two weeks notice and received the extra check after I had been gone for over three weeks. So they had five weeks to remove me from payroll. What are my legal obligations?
