Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
I could not pay my rent on sept.1st. However, before I was 30 days late, the owner of the building placed a sign "building or space available" and I received a court date to appear Oct. 29. It is Oct. 10, and this sign has caused my clothing retail buiness to drop more than 1/2. Obviously I can't pay now. Is this legal for him to do?

You should have your lease reviewed by an attorney immediately. Presumably, the landlord has the right to evict you for non-payment of rent.
