Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts

Are Payment Terms Met With a Check's Envelope Postmark Date?

If payment terms are, for example, Net 30, aren't they met if the check's envelope is postmarked on the 30th day after invoice, rather than the check having to be received within 30 days? - unless otherwise specified?

Could you please furnish the actual law reference?

Is this the same law pertaining to the sending of goods wherein FOB Shipper means title passes to the Receiver when goods are consigned to the carrier?

You're asking a question that some legal scholars have answered in volumes....and you're not even being that specific! This is a very general question - to get a useful answer, please give us some facts to work with. Thanks.
