sicktime rights

in the company i work for there has been alot of borderline activities going on i have been there for the last 2 years and as of august 1,2002 they have announced to a few people who have taken sicktime in the last 2 weeks that you have to ''earn'' yoursicktime one 2 of them have been in the company 10 plus years can they legally take away all of the sicktime that they have accumulated??? is this legal if not can you please tell me where i can find and get more info on this topic.

If you have accumulated sickleave based on a policy of the company, I don't believe the can take away waht you have earned. However, they can change the policy at any time regarding future sick leave.
