Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
Vacation time acrrued business sold
My question concerns a company I work for that has sold out to another company. The new company is taking the position that all acrrued vacation time is lost. Is this legal? Do they as the new owners owe this money? Do the previous owners owe this money?
Thank you!

Re: Vacation time acrrued business sold
Whetehr the liability rests on the new business or the old is based first upon the written agreement for sale and second on whether the new business owners are "successors in interest" or a separate business. You should contact the Wage and Hour Division of the Mass Department of Labor.
