Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
vendor service unpaid bills
I had a business that went out of business. The business owed an accountant money for services rendered. Am I responsible to pay that balance?

If you were a sole proprietor or a partnership, then you are clearly responsible.
If you were an LLC or a Corporation and they still exist then you did not signed personally for the work to be done, then probably not.
However, if you dissolved the LLC or Corporation and then there may an issue with respect to your personal liability for the bill.
I hope this was helpful.

I agree with Mr. Roth.
Most of the time such action is ok; some times the accountant can pierce the corporate veil.
