Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts

Counter sueing

Business of flower arrangements for a wedding. There was a agreenment in the beginning and the floweral woman renigged on our aggrement 2 wks prior to wedding paid the amount for flowers and aggreement was no longer valid. 5 months later she sent personal information (copies of cancelled checks with accounts #) by hand delivering to mail boxes to various people our personal information. she now wants the aggreement that she nulled and voided 2 wks prior to the wedding. which we have already paid in full. now expects us to fullfill our prior aggreement that was null and voided. if not we have to pay more money. now she is taking us to small claims court and I would like to know what is our course of action. ps there was no sign contract agreeing to doing more that we agreed upon.

Re: Counter sueing

It is not entirely clear from your post whether you are the florist or the customer.

It sounds as though the florist stated an intention to breach the contract prior to the wedding, and refused to return any moneys paid.

Depending on the amount of money at stake here, you might want to speak to an attorney in your area who can sort through the details of this conflict.
