Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
Defamation of Character
While asked to conduct a haunted kitchen at my childrens school, I was accussed of improperely touching children. The kids were very specific as to what I did. The local police conducted a thorough investigation and I was found not to have touched any child improperly, indecently or sexually. I was never charged with any crime. DSS did not persue this matter. Every accusation by each child that evening was reversed during their official statements to police. The school and church have removed me from my Presidency on the athletic board and will not allow me to coach in any sports throughout the entire dioces. The church has told all my associates not to contact me or associate with me. I have not been allowed to dispute the reasons for my being removed. My reputation is ruined, and I am being treated as though I were guilty. Please respond.

Re: Defamation of Character
Can you prove the church told your "associates"?
That is, did the church put it in writing?
Do you have a copy of the writing?
They can, of course, defame/slander you orally, but it is easier to prove when there is a writing.
Other questions, but the big one is the one I've just asked.
