Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
Can I file a civil suit against the police for wrongful arrest/illegal search and seizure? I have already plead guilty to the crime but because I was not confident with my lawyer and the outlook of a trial.

If you do file a civil suit it is highly unlikely that you will prevail, especially now that you have taken a guilty plea. When the police make an arrest, it's b/c they have probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed. This threshold is not a big obstacle for them to overcome. As for the search of your property, you will have to be more specific as to what it is that they searched.
