Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
Got pulled over and harassed by a MA state police officer.
earlier today I was pulled over about 300 feet from a stop sign I stopped at after a cop came flying up behind me. the first thing he asked me was if i was on some road last friday. I told him I wasn't because I was working aad he said ''You're a fucking liar!'' he tried to claim I shouted at some old woman last friday and he was going to give me an extra hefty ticket because I like yelling at old women. Everytime I tried to ask him for his name or badge number he told me ''to shut my fucking mouth''. My speedometer is brooken and I just purchased the car last friday morning and have not been able to fix it but I know I was defenaitly not going 50+ in a 30 as he wrote on the citation for $200. He told me if he heard of me yelling at old women again he would personally come to my house. I know I was not going as fast as he stated and I never yelled at the woman. the whole morning I was buying my new car and then I went straight to work till 10 that night. The officer was extremely rude and kept swearing at me and screaming at me even though I was nothing but polite. What should I do?

You might consider filing a written complaint with the Attorney General's Office. Often the Civil Rights Division handles police misconduct complaints.
