Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts

My question is regarding Civil rights violation and or discrimination by an officer of the court. My fiance is on probation officer came by unannounced for a home visit. He brought along another probation officer. The other officer made some comments to us about smoking cigarettes in our house with children. My fiance essentially told him to mind his business. The next day I was in the courthouse for a separate issue, and was asked to go see the Probation Department. I went in and found myself being interrogated by that other man. He then told me that he was mandated by the court and his position to report us to DSS for smoking in the house, which he did. DSS came out and was embarrassed that she had to come here. Apologized profusely, as what was reported was false, misleading, and not against the law. What can I do about this? Can I report this man, for Official Misconduct and discrimination? Can I bring charges against him for filing a false report?

File a complaint against the officer. But, be prepared for subtle harrassment or no leeway for your boyfriend's probation.
