what are my rights and options

I am a home owner. A new family with young boys about 12 and 14 years old moved next door to me. They are constantly throwing balls, golf clubs and soda cans in my yard. I have a two year old German Shepherd and fear for his well being. I have asked the mother nicely to stop this as it is a nuisance. She claims I am the ''bad'' neighbor and should just give the balls back. What should I be doing.

Get a videocam set up in a concealed fashion at the window of your home facing the area from where the kids throw things onto your yard. Then you will have evidence for the police.
