Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts
Rights to use public property
I live in a community where football has been playing and practicing for for over 30 years. within the past 15 years soccer has entered the equation and has grown unchecked. Our football program is a regional program where as soccer is a town program. We have spent money and time grooming fields, lighting fields and furtilizing fields over the past thirty years and are now getting squeezed out by soccer, who has contributed very little to the situation. My question is, are there any squatter rights or any other rights we have because we have been here much longer and we have been good citizens and promote responsible growth that can be supportted by the available field space?
