Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Massachusetts

Small Claims Court

My ex boyfriend who I have a restraining order on is taking me to small claims court a year after I left. He is claiming that I took $2,000 worth of CDs and money. I know he is making this up to buy drugs but he is such a trickster and will lie to no end and so would his friends/family. What should I do? Of course there is no proof becasue it never happened. He has a record of heroin abuse, arrests, suspeneded licenses, working under the table and lives with his parents at age 29. I am 20, have my own appartment, am in college, and no record. But, am I protected from lies? Thank You, Patricia

Re: Small Claims Court

If the facts as you related them are true, you should go to small claims (or call "Judge Judy!). Clerks at the court are very helpful if you call tem or go see. Good luck.
