Legal Question in Technology Law in Massachusetts

Is it legal for Colleges or Universities to control wireless airspaces, such as disallowing the use of wireless routers, my school has such a policy, but I was wondering if I could disregard it, as the FCC maintains that part of the wireless spectrum for all consumers, and allows it's use as long as interference isn't produced.

As a general rule, property owners can restrict what others do on their property. That's as true for colleges and universities as it is for any other owner of property.

The policy you cite means only that the government can't give anyone an exclusive license to use a portion of the spectrum. Your college's policy does not involve such a license, so it doesn't conflict with the FCC's policy.
