Simple question that any lawyer can answer: The Professional Codes of Conduct for lawyers; are they the same from state to state or are they different?

49 states have rules based on the American Barr Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct, but California's rules are different. Even states that use the ABA rules sometimes modify them; the modifications vary from one state to another.
