Legal Question in Construction Law in Massachusetts

I've lived in the same condo in Mass going on 20 years. Our condo assoc. board voted to have 1/2 of our buildings re-roofed. Notices were sent with the dates. I arrived home only to find my front electrical outlet cover opened. I shut it, and considered shutting the electric off to the outside, but didn't. The next day was a Saturday and the roof crew started roofing around 8am. I heard a noise that kept going off and on- on my front deck. I looked to see their generator plugged into my outlet.

I was never told nor asked by the condo board about the use of electricity. I wrote to the board asking for a $10.00 deduction on my condo fee for next month. They wrote back asking for my electric bill last year in July and wanted to compare it to this years July bill. I explained I had installed 2 AC units this year, which I didn't have last year, so the bills would be substantially different (and not fair to the board for comparing). My request was denied.

I just wrote them back saying I never consented to the roofers using my electricity. Nor was I ever notified that this would be the case.

I'm asking for 10.00 back, am I correct on this, or should I just let it go?
