Re: my 17 yr old purchased a vehicle

Minors cannot enter into contracts, so a contract with a minor is not enforceable against him. It is not so much "null and void" as voidable. Either way, your son can back out of the deal and insist on getting his money back. I'm not sure this will get him out of responsibility for the police tow charge, though, since it was still he who left the car where it had to be towed, and the car was "his" at the time. The fact taht the car was not in very good condition may give him some bargaining leverage with the seller over responsibility for towing charges, etc.
