Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
Aged laon
had a vehicle loan through a credit union. paid installments monthly electronically by moving money from checking to loan. couldn't pay full amount after a while and asked for interest only payments. CU oblidged. Rate was never changed back and I continued to pay interest throughut life of loan. few months back they found the error in thier computer system and asked for a bunch of money. could not pay all at once and worked out with them to pay 4 installments at the original fee at which time they were to reage the loan. I only have phone conversations and email to back up these points. it has been more than 30 days since the reage was suppose to happen and I pd the interest only payment by the due date. THey locked me out of all my accounts in the beginning of the regular payments back in NOv 2008. Since then an accident occurred by a hit and run which totlaled the vehicle. I faxed them a copy of the offer and still have heard nothing from them except that I owe them the difference from the interest only payment I made on the 15th from the amount of the regular installment. HOw do I deal with all of this and ask them to accept the insurance pay off and close the loan along with removing the negative info on my credit report?
