Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

auto services

My 1997 Audi Quattro console display was indicating there was an issue with the oil(oil can) and the car needed servicing(ins 2). I brought the car in to the auto dealership and service center I purchased the car from in 2000, and have used exclusively for service since. They changed the oil and determined the service indictors may be from a faulty display as they didn't find anything glaringly amise and could perform further analysis at another time since they where busy now.

Two days later the turbocharger blew(it was replaced two years ago) and blew metal pieces into the motor. The car was towed back to the service center where they determined the turbocharger and motor would have to be replaced, essentially rendering the car totalled.

My question is: does the auto service center share some responsibility that the turbocharger blew and totalled the car two days after I brought the car in for service analysis?

Re: auto services

If the fact is that the diagnostic analysis done should have detected the the condition, they may be responsible for not properly diagnosing it. Get a second opinion from another authorized dealer or a manufactuer's representative and if the results so indicate retain an attorney.
