Automobile Titles and Registration

I purchased a used car almost three weeks ago. The dealer still has not transferred the registration to the new car since he apparently does not have clear title to the car I bought. At this point, do I have the right to void this transaction? The dealer has already wholesaled my previous automobile...what are his legal responsibilities regarding the traded-in car if I can void this sale?

If on the date of transfer, the car does not have clear title, then you have a right to rescind the sale, and get the trade-in back.
