Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
we are bying a forecloser in mass. the house was winterized and have stickers stateing so.when we went to inspect it we found water leaks .the realter said he would mention to the bank but said he didn't think the bank would do anything about it as it was being sold as is. now a freind of mine said that we had to pay the same co. that wintrized it and it should be under their warranty for leaks. is this true? and if so what can we do to remedy the problem? it could cost hundreds of dollars to fix and my freind feels the co. should be liable.

Retain an attorney to review all your documents and determine whether any warranty given by the waterproofing company can be assigned to you. Good Luck!
