Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
Car Dealership
Hi,
As I'm new to this country, after moving from Ireland, I have no idea how getting a car loan works. However, i feel that I may have been taken advantage of.
I went to a car dealership and found a car I liked. I put down a 1000 hold check, to be used if I got approved with their financing.
I have found that they have cashed my check already, even though I haven't agreed to the finance terms or anything else.
Is it legal for them to do this?
Thanks
Ian

Re: Car Dealership
Unless they deposit your check they are holding nothing. Get acopy of everything you signed and have an attorney review it. Good Luck!
