There are hundreds of cases that refine and help define what those statutes mean, and there are dozens of books written for lawyers on the subject. There is interplay with a fairly large body of federal law (statutory) as well.

To narrow down the application to the cases where the consumer is misled by a merchant, if that's the situation you're interested in, it might help if you described your situation to a lawyer, to start with.

What everyone likes to hear about it is that, after certain technical procedures are followed, if the merchant fails to remedy the problem for the consumer and the consumer takes it to court, the consumer could be given 2 to 3 times 'damages' for willful or knowing violation ... PLUS reasonably attorney's fees and costs. In practice, it is a powerful tool.
