Credit card debt
Can a debt collector state that it pertains to your property when you have a large credit card debt that is over 7 years old, if you are willing to make arrangements but they want you to pay more can they do that?

There is a time limit after which the debt collector can no longer pursue you. Before you say anything or promise anything, or sign anything, or pay anything, you should review this matter with a lawyer to assess your rights and responsibilities.
The debt collector is not interested in you -- just your wallet.

They may have referred to the fact that if the sue you and win, they can seize your property, a car, a home, etc. Debt collection tactics are rough, if nothing more, but be careful not to initiate any contact with them. Doing so may reset the amount of time that they have to pursue you and extend it.
