Credit Card Scam?

Son was sent credit card on 18th birthday.charged $650.only.Didint pay anything.was charged $60. a month.now in collection and $1250.Is this legal to add more than half the amount.and can they charge when card has been cut off?

It is possible that they've charged an amount that is against the law because it is too high, under Mass. usuary laws. There are other federal laws involved, also.

When was the $650 charged?

Could your son pay it off now if he wanted to? (Or could / would you do so?)

But do not pay off that total yet! First, have your son call me. If I like the case and I take it, I charge typically part of what I can save you.
