Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

what's the most effective way to keep the repo man at bay

ok -- seven uninterrupted years of on-time payments, and with a few thousand bucks to go, an emergent situation results in lack of funds. lender is, to use the technical term, a bloodless bastard. what can be done to thwart the midnight repo man until funds come available? what makes it more difficult for him to legally proceed? how exactly is breach of the peace defined? and can a repo in progress be stopped in its whitewall tracks? time's a' wastin. so thanks in advance for your hurried wisdom and wit. gotta go -- i think i hear a truck rumbling in the driveway.

Prior to attempted re-pro did you receive notice from lender? Did you contact?? Best approach is to reach supervisor on account and try to negotiate. Also, call consumer affairs division of Attorney General's office and if bank, division of banking to see if they have ideas.
