Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
My fiance bought me a silver claddah ring last December for $90. However, the bank failed to cover the check with her savings and now the jeweler is taking us to court. We had the ring appraised by two other jewelers, and they said it is worth $30-$40. The ring is also beginning to show discoloration. Can we bring the jeweler to court on the grounds that they overcharged us?

you can file in small claims court an answer to their claim for consumer fraud.
If you take them to court, you need to serve them with a 93A letter of demand.
