Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
Jeep sold to me with possible fraud involved
I bought a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited, used, a year and a half ago. I am trying to trade it in and in pulling up the VIN # the Kia dealer I was at told me it's a Classic, not a Limited. The Limited is worth more money. It has Limited markings on the body of the Jeep. It was sold to me as a Limited. Is that something that I can fight in court as a fraudulent sale?

Re: Jeep sold to me with possible fraud involved
First, did you buy your jeep from a dealership?
Second, does it say anywhere in your contract and/or title "Limited"? If it is a used dealership and you have some evidence to show that you believed to your detriment that the jeep was a limited, you can either file a complaint with the attorney general, serve a demand letter upon the company pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A; or, or file suit under the Massachusetts Lemon Laws.
