Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
Jurisdiction for small claims
on nov. 9, 2002 i purchased a 1983 harley davidson motor cycle from a person in new york. All of our transactions were conducted over the phone and the internet. The payment was paid in full. When i arrived to pickup the bike i observed some problems that were not described to me prior to the payment.
I had the bike brought to a mechanic and was told that the bike had been altered to hide the engine problems. An estimate to repair the problem is over $2000.
Does ma. Have jurisdiction this matter or do i have to go to ny to have the case heard.

Re: Jurisdiction for small claims
I think you're looking at having to deal with this under NY law, not MA.
