Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
lemon law
I purchased a used car from a Mass auto dealership on ebay. The dealer told me that the car had FRESH water flood damage to 2 inches on the INTERIOR, and that no water entered the engine. Ive had the car for about a month, and have spent almost $900 repairing damage that my mechanic says is strictly a result of SALT water damage, and that it most definitely entered the engine. Had I known that this were the case, I never would have bought the car. I was lied to, and have all of his claims in writing via a printout of the car from ebay. I want my repair costs refunded, or even better, a replacement vehicle. Even after repairing the head on the car which was causing an oil leak that I could SMELL the second that I drove the car for the first time, and replacing a cylinder, and spark plugs and wires, the car still runs poorly, and is getting about 5-7 mpg less than it should be, so I fully expect to continue to have problems. This dealer claims to have been dealing with these ''fresh water flood cars'' for 30 years. He also owns a garage there along with his shop, so I know his mechanic would be well aware of these trademark problems
with SALT water flood damage. THANKS!!!!

Re: lemon law
Retain an attorney to make a consumer protection action claim against the dealership! Good Luck!
