Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Lock in oil price contract

Hi

I was woundering if anyone could help me. My mother at the beginning of this winter season was told by her oil company,it would be in her best interest to sign a contract

to lock in an oil price for the season $2.44. The price is considerably much lower now I feel she might have been duped by the oil company to sign for the higher rate which we are stuck with now

Do we have any recourse in this matter I feel this is not right. Any response would be helpfull Respectfully

Robert

Re: Lock in oil price contract

Please contact the attorney general's office and explain your mother's situation. She can also file a complaint online with the attorney general. If you file a complaint online, they may require you to later supply documentation to further investigate this matter. I hope this is a helpful start.

Sincerely, Maria Murber
