Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Pet Lemon Law

I purchased a puppy from Missouri over the internet and I'm located in Mass. His littermate was also purchased from another owner in Mass. We've had the puppies for 5 days and have been treating it for symptoms including diarrhea, vomit, loss of appetite, depression and unfortunately, we both had to put down the puppies today (8/10). This breeder has an agreement on her website stating she does not refund but will replace. We as the owners cannot tolerate that because the puppies had Parvovirus which is a severe and fatal disease that is highly contageous and our homes need to be thoroughly cleansed with bleach. We are heartbroken over this and we just want to be compensated for at least the cost of the puppy and half the vet bills that have accumulated. We wish to do this privately but the breeder does not comply by being doing what's ethically right in this situation, then I want to know what the rights are and where I stand.

I think you may be stuck with either Missouri or federal law. You should not expect a Missouri person to litigate this is issue in Mass. There is probably no personal jurisdiction.
