Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Poor Quality Service

I rented a limo and there was a serious mechanical issue with the limo that caused it to go 20-25 miles per hour on the highway. A ride that should have been 33 minutes was an hour and 20 minutes. The driver thought it was a fuel thing, but it turned out to be a battery problem. He got the limo working after we got to our first destination and we continued to use the limo for the rest of the evening. We lost about an hour of time and I am looking for the limo company to reimburse me for that one hour, but they are refusing. Do I have any ground to stand on in seeking restitution?

Re: Poor Quality Service

THe limo company is probably within its rights if it was not an expected problem, but that depends on your agreement. Mind you, this is stupid -- you will not use them again, and will probably give bad word-of-mouth. But "stupid" and "unlawful" are not synonyms.
