Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

Price drop on item after purchase.

Less than 2 weeks ago I purchased a phone from AT&T for $130. That same phone is now free.

My question: Is it possible for me to get a reimbursement for this money?

I ask because recently, when the price of the iPhone was reduced by $200, people who bought it for the original price got those $200 back. I do not see a difference between that case, and what happened to me.

Additional info: The phone I purchased was the 'Sony Ericsson W580i'

Re: Price drop on item after purchase.

A distributer of goods is free to change its price-structure at any time. This thus is neither a violation of contract nor an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the course of trade or commerce. You have no legal claim. However, you may want to engage in a clear discussion with the customer service folks and see if they will give you an additional rebate.
