Store rang up wrong price

I recently purchased a used out of box HD TV from a Sears outlet. When I got the TV home, I realized they had taken off a large additional amount off of the regular discounted price. About a week later, I got a message requesting the last four digits of my Amex card so they could charge me the balance, as they had ''made an error at checkout''. Am I liable to pay the additional balance if they rang me up, checked me out and sent me home with the TV?

It's a good thing lawyers can't be sued for incorrect information given for free.

The store is entitled to correct a legitimate mistake. How would you feel if the mistake had been made the other way? Tough nuts for you? I doubt it.

If the store misled you into thinking the lower price was the right price and now wants to change it, that would be bait and switch, but that is not what you described, and you admit you realized they had made a mistake.
