Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts
Verizon over-charged me for 3 months of service I did not receive by not canceling the automatic withdrawal from my credit card account. They then led me on for several months telling me that I would be getting a refund of the money via a check in the mail, and they have handed me around to different departments for the past 7 months. Every time I call to try and see where my refund is, they tell me something different, and the latest time was the last straw. I want to sue them for my money, the time wasted trying to retrieve it, and the stress and anguish I endured including fights with my wife regarding the said funds. I was wondering what a good figure would be for the mental anguish suffered, and how to go about filing for the lawsuit.

I am saddened that you had such an unsatisfactory consumer experience with Verizon. There are federal and state consumer laws that may offer you certain relief.
This Office specializes in representing consumers in these kinds of cases. Initial consultations are usually free. Good Luck.
What is the amount in question? Certain laws may enable you to get 3 times the amount, plus your legal fees.
