Re: answer summons from credit card
I assume you received a complaint , along with a summons to appear, from a credit card company who alleges you owe money. In theory (pursuant to the doctrine of "Notice Pleading"), there is no set manner, in form or substance, for responding to a complaint, as long as the response is truthful and not knowingly false. In practice, however, the format of the response should be of a particular nature with which the courts are familiar. Please feel free to contact my office for any assistance you may need in filing your response.;)

Retain an attorney to prepare an answer to the complaint and to defend you in the case. Good Luck!

You do not answer the summons, unless it asks for you to appear in court, you answer the elements of the complaint. You can get a sample from your local law library. Remember you have a time limit.
