Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts
car lease default
My wife co-signed a lease for a new car 9 months ago for my daughter. If my daughter defaults what happens to my wife''s credit? How much will they pursue her? There are 30 months left on the lease.

Re: car lease default
If your daughter is late on her payments or defaults, it will be reported to your wife's credit. If your daughter were to default, the creditor can use all legal means of collection against either your daughter OR your wife.
