Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

Collecting money from work given

I am a photographer and I shot for two issues of a magazine. I was promissed pay and more work but the ''publisher'' never paid me or anyone working with him. I have his phone # but I can't get his address. How can I get my money he owes me? Can I tack on additional fees? How can I track him down?

Were the works subsequently published? If so, get the magazine or periodical in which your works were published, and you can go after them. You still have the negatives, right?? Was there anything in writing? Anything by phone? Did you make the calls (record of the calls on your phone bill?) What amount was agreed to?

It sounds from what you have said that they owe you for your work.
