collection agency

I am being haunted by a collection agency that has taken over a loan from another agency which had taken it over from a previous agency..

This agency will settle for a certain amount less then what is orig. owed... but i have been trying to get some questioned answered which no one seems to be able to answer...#1 where was car repod from...#2 what was it sold for @ auction..#3 and who repo'd it...

what r my rights in getting this nightmare cleared up other then paying the amount due...

Since a repossessor who regularly collects debts for third parties is subject to the FDCPA in its entirety ( see Clark v.Auto Recovery Bureau Conn., Inc., 889 F.Supp. 543 (D. Conn. 1994)), you have the full panoply of rights as articulated under 15 U.S.C 1692. Please feel free to contact my office for a free initial consulation based on your specific situation.
