Re: contracts
The general rule in Massachusetts, I believe, is 18. However, first be aware that any involvement by an adult's might "ratify" the contract, e.g., making a payment by check or being the owner of a credit card account, under some theory of law or another; a lot could depend upon the adult's knowledge of the minor's actions.
The other thing to beware of is that a failure of capacity to form contract under the law might not leave you where you think it would. For example, if the minor has received the CDs and can't return them in original condition, he (and possibly his parents) might still be found liable for the VALUE of the CDs (arguably lower than the list price, but also arguably more!).
It'd be good to see the contract and to know how much is being billed and for what. Even adults are not really held liable in some cases for charges they've agreed to, believe it or not.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more certain for you, at least not without doing some research; this response is just a shot from the hip so to speak. Free advice is often worth less than what you paid for it.
