Re: credit card

If the debt is truly 17 years old, no credit card company or law firm has the right to pursue you.

But they will anyway, hoping that you will be scared into paying.

I have helped other people in your same situation, and have been successful in getting their debt discharged.

Please contact me if you would like some assistance in asserting your rights.

Re: credit card

The short answer to your question is yes. However, since the statute of limitations on a credit card debt within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is 6 years, they will be time barred from pursuing their action to a successful judgment. Additionally, depending on the circumstances, they may be liable for both actual and statutory damages, plus reasonable attorney fees, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
