Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

credit card debt

Someone came to my door with an orange paper saying i would be arrested if i dont show up & i missed @ court cases. i never got the letters If i got the card when i lived in florida. I know live in mass does that change my situation. I lost my job due to a hurricane. I then received disaster unemployment which paid my waitress rate $2.50 an hour. Not enough to live on

Based on the limited facts presented, it sounds as though you already have a default judgment against you, and they are collecting.

If you never received any notice of the underlying lawsuit, you should go into court and file a Motion to Vacate the Judgment. Good luck!
