Can a credit card come after me after seven years

Generally speaking, pursuant to Massachusetts law, you would have no legal obligation to pay the credit card debt after the statute of limitations is passed (six years). Your moral obligation is something entirely different.;)

It really depends on what you mean by "after seven years", and whether any payments or acknowledgments have been made since the account went into default.

In addition, just because a debt is legally unenforceable does not mean that debt collectors will stop harassing you and attempting to collect on the debt.
